HUNDERTWASSER Spa Blumau: Sustainability put into practice
Hotel manager at Rogner Bad Blumau, the largest inhabitable work of art, following the philosophy of living in harmony with nature, focusing on the sustainable use of natural resources. I graduated at the college of Tourism Schools Bad Gleichenberg and started my career at Rogner Bad Blumau as an F & B assistant trainee in 1998, followed by positions as a conference manager and resident manager. Since 2010 I have been running the spa as the hotel manager. Easy-going, imaginative and at one with nature – these are the core values of Rogner Bad Blumau and this is what the architecture of Hundertwasser conveys. At Rogner Bad Blumau, as a hotel with soul, the wellbeing of every individual has top priority. This of course includes the guests, but also the employees and partners and this in the most sustainable way possible. In recognition of the ecological management and environmentally friendly mode of construction, Rogner Bad Blumau was awarded the Austrian Environmental Mark of Excellence for Tourism Enterprises just a few weeks after being opened. It is the vision of the founder Robert Rogner to follow this philosophy in the future and to expand the sustainable business management and of course I share this personal commitment as well.
